American Idol analysis has resumed! Leading up to the performances last night (Tuesday, April 1) the top nine ranked as follows, in order of sheer number of posts by the most influential blogs in entertainment.

A couple observations: Michael Johns and David Cook were big jumpers after last week’s performances (March 24). The two, along with David Archuleta, are influencer favorites for American Idol’s top three – however, Brooke White could be the female spoiler in an all male top three. David Cook’s Billie Jean performance was pegged as the highlight of the show to date, and he even garnered a reaction from Chris Cornell, the original creator of Cook's unique arrangement.
