The Top 25 Influential SOB's

As promised, I ran a conversation query in the BuzzLogic application to uncover the most influential sites and posts in the "SOBCon" conversation over the last year. Below is the list; these are the bloggers who are most influential on the topic of the SOBCon conference. Not surprisingly, the Queen of SOBCon herself, Liz Strauss comes up as number one (check out Liz's take on this weekend's events here).

BuzzLogic’s influence algorithm takes a dozen factors into account when determining the influence of posts and a blog overall – a blogger’s credibility and expertise on a specific topic over time, who is linking in, the quality and influence of all in-linkers and the popularity of a post overall. Congrats to Lorelle VanFossen from Lorelle on Wordpress for the most influential post in the entire SOBCon conversation.

Valerie, thanks for doing this. It's a great example of what BuzzLogic can do. I might have guessed that Lorelle's post about last year's conference was the most influential one - neat to see that your application saw it that way too.

Whew - just made it on the list!

I suppose this year's review had better pack a whollop, or one of this year's newcomers just may edge me out...

Thanks for the link and the recognition. Nice to know I'm not blogging in the dark.

1Love,
Geoffrey

Valerie -- what an amazing treat to open after a busy day! Thanks for your thoughtful recognition and encouragement! Many blogs you listed teach me often and I cannot wait to check out the new finds. Thanks for the way you used your own blog to benefit others!!! It's not every day one walks into such adventure!

Wow, thanks for the honor! It's a real treat to be counted among such great company. Thanks, Valerie!

I love to measure -- and wrote a book in 08 to suggest a change for intelligence-fair assessments:-).

I love the idea of listing clear factors that account for successful outcomes! Assessment - as I see it -- should be a more integral part of business growth. Do you see the same?

wow - thanks everyone for checking out the list, and all the great feedback! Ellen, I absolutely agree about effective assessment being a key component to business growth. We're at an interesting time for individual publishers like yourself - the measures of success aren't just about page views and traffic anymore. Engagement, interaction, audience affinity and influence are all new ways to track and understand your success.

What a nice surprise! Thank you. It's an honour to be listed in such a vibrant, contributing group.

What a nice treat! It's great to be associated with such positive, contributing people. Just that visiting all the other blogs this morning borked my agenda for the day - but in a very worthwhile way. Have posted about it with a note on each blogger/blog.
