
Management TeamRob Crumpler, President and Chief Executive OfficerRob Crumpler joined BuzzLogic as President and CEO in October 2005, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience with fast growth technology companies, including Microsoft and Intuit. While at Microsoft, Crumpler played a key role in defining the advertising technologies and business models that drove the revenue growth of MSN. During his seven year tenure at Microsoft, Crumpler also helped the company pioneer new ad models, such as cost-per-action, as part of the MSN Finance Channel’s advertising strategy. Prior to Microsoft, Crumpler founded and served as President and CEO at On The Go Software, an industry leader in the expense reporting and travel management space, which was acquired by Intuit in 1996. While at Intuit, Crumpler led the development of the OFX Consortium, which fathered Open Financial Exchange, the de facto standard for financial reporting and transactions on the Internet. Crumpler received a BS in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. Todd Parsons, Co-Founder and Chief Product OfficerA co-founder of BuzzLogic, Todd Parsons is responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of BuzzLogic’s software products and services. Prior to founding BuzzLogic, Parsons led development of the Knowledge Bank and Online Business Services for Silicon Valley Bank, where he managed development of productivity and business intelligence products for the bank and venture capital community. Previously, Parsons was a co-founder Textus Worldwide, a supply chain management consulting firm and held senior management positions with InnovationWorld and Artmetropolis. Parsons has served on the faculty of San Jose State University’s Electronic Commerce Program. Parsons graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Utah. Jean Sini, Chief Technology OfficerJean Sini joined BuzzLogic as Chief Technology Officer in April 2008 through the acquisition of Activeweave, and leads BuzzLogic’s core technical vision and architecture, with a primary focus on targeting relevance and influence across social media. His expertise and interests center around the design and development of distributed computing infrastructures and web-scale services. Based in the Silicon Valley since 1996, he has honed his leadership and software engineering skills over the last 15 years building large-scale multi-tiered platforms and managing international engineering teams. Prior to running the company’s engineering, Jean co-founded Activeweave in 2005, where he served as CTO, building and scaling its contextual, personalized relevance engine. Jean also held Director and Senior Director of Software Engineering positions at Oracle and Symbol Technologies. Jean holds Masters Degrees in Computer Science from Telecom Paris and the Computer Science Laboratories at the Paris University. Marc Meyer, SVP, ProductsMarc joined BuzzLogic in April 2008 as part of the Activeweave acquisition, and oversees all BuzzLogic product strategy and development. His interest in socially collaborative computing and the personalization of information spaces dates back to his research at Xerox PARC in the 80s. While serving as CEO at Activeweave, Marc was "keeper of the flame" for the company’s vision: to further the potential of socially-structured collaborative interaction on the Web. Marc is an entrepreneur with expertise in distributed computing and information architecture, and has over 20 years of experience in research, development, leadership, and management in the U.S. and internationally. In addition to Xerox PARC, Marc has done stints at several world-class research laboratories, including DEC WSL, Interval, and Olivetti Research. Marc holds AB and Masters degrees from UC Berkeley in Computer Science. John Maley, Chief Financial OfficerJohn Maley has guided emerging and high growth technology companies on a range of financial and operational matters during the course of a more than 20 year career. As a finance consultant, he has worked with companies including Alta Vista, Locality, AngioTrax, Phormax, and Imetrx. As chief financial officer for Corazon, he raised more than $20M in preferred debt and equity financing, culminating in the sale of its intellectual property to a division of Johnson and Johnson, in 2006. Previously, Maley was director of finance at eGroups, where he helped manage a merger transaction and S-1 filing for the company. He also was instrumental in eGroups’ $450 million sale to Yahoo in October 2000. Maley spent the early part of his career with Collagen Corporation serving as international controller in Switzerland, and received his CPA with Ernst & Young, serving in their Boston, Palo Alto and London offices. He is a cum laude B.A. Accounting graduate of the University of Massachusetts. |
