BuzzLogic Secures $9.6 Million Series A Equity Financing

SAN FRANCISCO - January 16, 2007 - BuzzLogic, the pioneering social media influence software company, announced today that it has closed a $9.6 million Series A equity financing round led by Adams Capital Management, Ackerley Partners and Transcosmos Investments & Business Development.

BuzzLogic's first product is an on-demand enterprise software service enabling marketing and communications practitioners to identify key influencers within specific conversations taking place in social media such as blogs. Marketing and communications practitioners can use these insights to understand influence and who wields it, to manage their brands, reputations, products and customer relationships.

"World-culture and the way people pay attention is shifting as a result of the rise of social media such as blogs, video blogs, podcasting and so many new forms of expression," said Rob Crumpler, BuzzLogic CEO. "The media world and its business fundamentals are changing drastically, sending marketers and publishers scrambling to figure out what to do about it."

"Marketers, publishers and individual bloggers each have a stake in the new media world, but with millions of blogs and thousands of conversations, they need new tools to tie things together and create sustainable economic models. BuzzLogic's approach to identifying influence within specific social media conversations paves the way to make this happen."

"BuzzLogic fills a unique need in an emerging market and will shape the way we understand and engage with social media," said Anthony D. Lye, venture partner for Adams Capital Management. "BuzzLogic is a key investment in an Adams portfolio of innovators and pioneers."

"There is enormous synergy in the Adams - Ackerley - Transcosmos combination that will help us build our business and take full advantage of the opportunity in front of us," said Crumpler.
